EDITORIAL BAMBU

Bambu is a new publisher of literature for children and young people which has the characteristics associated with the plant from which it takes its name: flexibility, consistency and variety.

Flexibility, consistency and variety so as to involve a large number of people. In order to achieve that objective Bambu publish stories adapted to the requirements of the readers, as regards subject matter and length. They are stories intended for readers no matter what their age, people who like reading and enjoy getting involved in stories which are very varied. People who take the opportunity to read on the train, the bus or before falling asleep. People who prefer longer stories, which transport them via the characters to worlds difficult to imagine.

Flexibility, consistency and variety as regards the subjects dealt with. With Bambu you experience mystery and danger, amusing stories or poetry, stories of times long gone by or places very far away and very exotic. They are plots which make us reflect about our own time and such like.

Flexibility, consistency and variety with regard to authors. Bambu publishes the work of classical writers, contemporary ones who are already highly regarded, and those starting out.

But the most important pledge that Editorial Bambu makes to its readers is to offer them literary quality and for that reason the number of titles published will not depend on any business plan or market demands, but will be determined by the quality of the manuscripts to which it has access.

Editorial Bambu starts out with the intention of publishing books which go beyond a mere story and hopes to paint images in our readers’ minds that will stay with them throughout their lives.

Editorial Bambu is an off-shoot of Editorial Casals.

With Bambu, reading goes on.
